Since 2020, Rada Building has been a member of the Czech Green Building Council (CZGBC.org).
This organization promotes new development and renovations based on sustainability principles. In the Czech Republic, the Council has been active since 2009, and all of its activities are aimed at realizing the ‘Vision Zero,’ a state where buildings have zero environmental impact throughout their entire lifecycle.
Sustainability is in Rada Building’s DNA from its inception.
Sustainability is not about demolishing a building and constructing a better one. True sustainability is about buildings that don’t need to be torn down and can have their lifespan extended for additional decades.
Extending the lifespan of buildings at the end of their lifecycle significantly reduces the emissions that would be generated through redevelopment. This includes often-overlooked issues such as the creation of non-recyclable construction waste, the substantial environmental impact of transporting large quantities of materials, and the complete carbon footprint of a new construction.
